Tour Feature: Midwest Tours 2023

Posted by Glenn Dunlap on Tue, Jan 03, 2023 @ 09:30 AM

We may be partial, but we think the Midwest is best! Here, you’ll find some of the newest ballparks in Major League Baseball, each with its own distinct personality. Our flexible Midwest Tours allow you to hit them all or visit just a few.

Wrigley-groupThe Midwest July Tour starts in Minneapolis at Target Field, where a Twins “homerun celebration” and walleye on a stick are things you just have to experience. (Minnesotans are serious about their acclaimed “state fair food”!)

Next, we slide down to Chicago for a game at historic Wrigley Field. The ivy walls, The Friendly Confines, Wrigleyville and Chicago dogs… need we say more?

After Wrigley, we’ll venture to American Family Field in Milwaukee for an afternoon game. Along with the award-winning Brewers, fans enjoy delicious brats and brews, a fun family atmosphere, and a crowd that has a great time whether they win or lose.

Guests have an extended time to take in Windy City views, shopping, architectural tours and some of the Midwest’s finest food before the Cubs take on the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Busch Stadium-aboveThe following day takes us to Busch Stadium in St. Louis for one of the best fan experiences in baseball! Even if you’re not a Cardinals enthusiast, the fan-friendly atmosphere and skyline backdrop of the Gateway Arch will draw you in. Another must-see is Ballpark Village, an adjacent complex where fans enjoy shopping, good eats, and the Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum.

The final stop on this tour is Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium, where fans experience Royals baseball, varietal craft beer, and some of the best BBQ in the country. Fans of all ages enjoy the one-of-a-kind Water Spectacular, an unforgettable fountain display that you have to see to believe. Give yourself time to see the Negro League Museum before heading out of town.

This tour has it all--premium seats, great hotels, and all the Big League Tours extras. Choose an extended Midwest Tour with multiple games and cities; or select a shorter version of the tour to fit your budget and bucket list. Book now to hold your spot!

Target Field,Twins,Midwest baseball tour, sports travel, baseball vacation packagesThe Midwest is home to some fantastic baseball stadiums and this tour takes you to six of them! The tour starts in Minneapolis at Target Field, the home of the 2014 All Star Game. We'll take in a Friday night game when the Twins host the Rays. Make sure you try the kettle corn and some of the State Fair food that they offer at the ballpark. Truly unique!

Then we'll fly to Chicago on Saturday to settle in for a four-night stay in the heart of the Windy City. You'll have the evening on your own to explore the city. On Sunday, we'll go to Sox Park to see the Astros play the White Sox in an afternoon game.

Monday we'll take a short trip up to Miller Park where the Brewers are hosting the Reds. We'll get there in plenty of time for some tailgaiting at the ballpark and for you to explore the grounds. We'll head back to Chicago after the game.

You'll have Tuesday to explore more of the city before we head out to Wrigley Field to see the Padres and the Cubs. Knowing the Cubs, this might be an afternoon game. Either way, it's always a great time at Clark & Addison!

The baseball tour will then head south to St. Louis on Wednesday, to see a game at Busch Stadium (pictured on the left). We'll then finish up our last day of the tour, Thursday, in Kansas City. We'll see the Royals host the Indians at Kauffman Stadium. (Yes, you'll be able to pick up some KC barbeque at the ballpark!)

You will stay in the finest hotels with easy access to all the attractions, sit in lower level seats for each game, and enjoy a Big League Player Experience. Don't miss out on this extensive tour.

A new baseball tour for 2014 is The Heartland Tour that features 5 of the most outstanding newer ballparks in the Major Leagues, along with a visit to historic Wrigley Field. Your tour starts on Tuesday with a downtown stay in Cleveland. You will take off for Cincinnati on Thursday for a game at Great American Ball Park. It's a getaway day for the Giants, so we expect it to be an afternoon game. We'll stay in the heart of Cincy with lots to see and do in the evening. To the right are some of our guests on a stadium tour with Reds broadcaster, Chris Welsh. Notice that most of them are eating ice cream out of the freezer that belongs to Chris' fellow broadcaster, Jeff Brantley. (But if you see Cowboy, don't mention anything about the missing ice cream!!)

On Friday we'll head to Pittsburgh for a night game at PNC Park between the Brewers and the Pirates. Then on Saturday we'll make our way to Detroit to see the Tigers host the Red Sox at Comerica Park

Wrigley Field, baseball road trips, ballpark tours,Chicago vacation packagesThen, two nights in Chicago (Sunday and Monday) at a 4-5 star hotel with games at both ballparks. New Info Videos about our Baseball Tours

Posted by Doug Lawson on Sat, Jan 12, 2013 @ 12:36 PM

If you haven't had a chance to visit our Big League Tours home page lately. I invite you to take a look.  www.bigleaguetours.com Glenn and I took time recently to record some videos that give an overview of the Big League Tours Differences.  One of the biggest differences is the location of the seats when guests travel with Big League Tours.  We guarantee lower level infield seats for every game.  We know that many of our guests are seeing the ballparks like Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park and Wrigley Field for the first and only time.  And because of that, we make sure everyone has great seats. We don't purchase group seats in the upper deck or way down the line in the outfield.  Here's the video where Glenn talks about why we think sitting close to the action is important.

Big League Tours travel season in 31 photos- Midwest and HoF Tours

Posted by Kayla Wininger on Thu, Sep 27, 2012 @ 04:08 PM

Since joining the Big League Tours crew in early summer, I've had the amazing opportunity to lead two tours. The first time I was the co-pilot with Martha Ellen in Chicago/Milwaukee and the second I was flying solo with the group in New York, Boston and Cooperstown.

As the 2012 MLB season wraps up, I thought this would be a great time to share some of my favorite pictures from the trips this summer (I also threw in a few from the corporate outing we hosted). My iPhone is my best friend and I love snapping shots of absolutely anything and everything! FYI- My iPhone is far from professional so ignore some of the blurry stuff and just imagine the great times everyone was having!

Join me while I recount the amazing people I've met and wonderful places I've been thanks to Big League Tours.

There will be plenty of photos to come next year so stay tuned, hopefully your face will even be featured in a few! Sign up for our 2013 Tours and be the first to recieve the schedule once it's released!

Follow us on Facebook (Big League Tours), Instagram (BigLeagueTours) and Twitter (@BigLeagueTours) to view our other photos!
