New York City: City Guide

Written by Bronte Eaker | Tue, Mar 26, 2024 @ 01:28 AM

At Big League Tours, we can confidently say New York City is one of our favorite cities to visit.
A stop in New York City is included on our Hall of Fame and full East Coast Tour. When the schedule allows, we build in free time for our guests to explore the city and see whatever peaks their interest! (We also stay right in the heart of the city, so getting around to sightsee is a breeze.) History, food, live shows, shopping, and so much more, New York City offers something for everyone! Here are some of our favorite things to do and places to eat when visiting the Big Apple.

Sightseeing:
  • Grab a cup of coffee and a pastry from one of the many fantastic bakeries around and take a walk in Central Park.
  • It might seem like a given, but it would be a mistake to leave Times Square off this list! We love visiting at night.
  • Take a boat right out to Ellis Island and see the Statue of Liberty.
  • Get tickets to a Broadway show! There are so many great ones to choose from.
  • Even if you aren't taking the subway, check out Grand Central Station. It's a great spot for people watching, as well as restaurants and shopping!

Restaurants:

  • Pershing Square (Get there early for breakfast and get the fresh orange juice!)
  • Lobel's in Yankee Stadium (Fantastic prime rib sandwich)
  • Arancini in Citi Field
  • John's Pizzaria
  • Katz Deli
