At Big League Tours, we love getting to celebrate our guests visiting their 30th stadium. Kevin and Nora C. visited their 30th stadium this past summer. Here's what they had to say about their experience:

"We
started touring baseball parks 30+ years ago when our son took a liking to baseball. Nora and I had been to Boston to Fenway several times when visiting my sister. Since our son liked baseball

 we
decided to start taking family trips that centered on getting to various ballparks.
 We
traveled to 1 or 2 a year and once our son went away to school

 we
decided to make hitting all of the major league parks a goal.
 We
would drive and hit various sites along the way, like the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Mt. Rushmore on our trip to Milwaukee and Minneapolis, and Beale Street in Memphis and the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on our trip to Texas.

 When

 we
started closing in on the final 6 on the West Coast

 we
 decided

 we
needed to let someone else do the driving. My wife found Big League Tours online and it seemed like a perfect fit: baseball parks with time to take in some other sights along the way.
 We
were planning to catch the West Coast tour in 2021, but Covid put us 3 years behind.

 We
really liked the accommodations and locations. First rate hotels near places to go and see within walking distance of Oracle and Petco. As for favorite part of the trip, a question frequently asked by friends,

 we
 respond that

 we
really liked everything. (Although front row seats in San Diego was really special!) The accessibility of the tour host was also a plus.
 We
were also very happy to get to see the Oakland Coliseum.

 We
 would tell anyone who

 wanted
a tour to take in several ballparks on one trip Big League Tours is the answer. It was a first class experience all of the way managed by a first class operation. Great Hotels, Great Seats, Great Cities, Great people, and great travel arrangements made for a GREAT experience.

 you
Big League Tours and especially to Bronte and Glenn!!!!!"

Getting to travel with great folks is a huge part of why we do what we do. And getting to celebrate those folks visiting their 30th stadium makes our travel even better! This past April Joe and Kristin visited their 30th in Atlanta. Check out what they said about traveling with Big League Tours!

"It was always my goal to visit the home ballparks for each of the major league teams. Once we got married it became a joint goal. Over the years we began visiting various stadiums one at a time, as time allowed. In 2019, we discovered Big League Tours and from then on traveled with them. Our first trip was the Mideast Tour which included the following stadiums: Rodgers Centre (Toronto), Comerica Park (Detroit), Progressive Field (Cleveland), PNC Park (Pittsburgh), and Great American Ballpark (Cincinnati).

Big League Tours does a great job of organizing and arranging the hotel accommodations, transportation, and first-class tickets to the ballgames. We have also enjoyed the tour hosts and getting to meet other baseball fans who enjoy the game as much as we do and sharing the experience together.

We met our goal in April 2024, with Truist Park in Atlanta becoming our 30th and final ballpark. We traveled on the Southeast Tour with Big League Tours. The tour included the following stadiums: Marlins Park (Miami), Tropicana Field (Tampa Bay), and Truist Park (Atlanta). We had a fabulous time on this tour, meeting and really getting to know the other travelers, and of course the baseball was great. To our surprise and delight, Big League Tours presented us with signed (by the group) baseballs commemorating our 30th stadium.

We thought this was going to be our final tour with Big League Tours, but now they have added a Japan Tour. And of course we are definitely going!"

Congratulations, Joe and Kristin! Thank you for choosing Big League Tours! And we can't wait to continue the adventure and travel to Japan with you!

At Big League Tours, we love getting to celebrate our guests visiting their 30th stadium. It's even more special when the guests we're celebrating have become friends along the way! Greg and Sandy E. celebrated their 30th stadium this year. Here's what they had to say about their experience over the years:

"We grew up with baseball. Greg was a Tigers fan and attended games at Tiger Stadium with his dad, and Sandy attended “Ladies’ Day” games with her grandmother at the iconic Wrigley field. When we retired, we thought it would be fun to go to games at different stadiums around the country. Being a librarian, I thought there must be tours that were offered for this type of thing. So, onto the Internet I went, I found Big League Tours and what a great find it was!

In 2018, we started our baseball odyssey with the East Coast Tour starting in Boston! Our tour leader was Glenn Dunlap (owner), and we had a very fun and interesting trip! One of the more ‘interesting’ moments happened in NYC. Our bus driver from Boston thought he was dropping us at Citi Field and then immediately heading home. The problem was everyone’s luggage was on the bus, and we had to get to our hotel after the game! Our intrepid leader, Glenn, was able to work it out with the driver. After the game we made it safely to our New York hotel complete with luggage! Citi Field was one of our favorite stadiums!

We were impressed with Glenn and Bronte and how organized the trips were! The hotels are very nice, the seats are awesome, and the people who are in the tour groups are all there for baseball! We had such a good trip that we signed up for the Mideast tour in 2019. The leader of that tour was someone no longer with the company. Again, we had a great trip, so we decided we wanted to go to all 30 stadiums with Big League Tours!

Of course, in 2020, there were no games with fans, so onto 2021 where we did the West Coast tour, going all the way from San Diego to Seattle! Once again, we had Glenn leading our tour and he was great! Petco Park in San Diego is another one of our favorite stadiums!

In 2022, we did the Midwest tour starting in Chicago and ending in a hot and humid St. Louis! Our tour leader was Martha Ellen and she was great! Sandy left her tablet on the bus when we got to Milwaukee. Martha Ellen tracked it down, and it was waiting for Sandy the next day when we arrived in Minneapolis! We also had trouble getting an Uber to the airport from the St. Louis game, and she helped us with that as well!

In 2023, we did the Mid-Atlantic tour, since we missed the Nationals, when we did the East Coast tour. Our tour leader was Tia, who lives in Alaska! We also did the Southeast tour in 2023, and we had Nathan as our leader.

What we thought would be our final trip with Big League Tours was the Southwest Tour,
starting in Denver, again with Nathan as our leader. In May 2024, we attended our 30th stadium with Big League Tours in Houston with the Astros hosting the Brewers!
It turns out the Southwest Tour is not our last trip with Big League Tours because, next May, Glenn is leading a baseball trip to Japan, and we are going on that trip with our adult son!

What we like most about Big League Tours is that we personally know Glenn, and Bronte. They aren’t just names of people we deal with and don’t know. They know who we are, we know who they are, and often we reconnect with leaders and people from previous trips because of this company’s reputation! We highly recommend using Big League Tours for your MLB baseball trips!"

We are absolutely thrilled for you, Greg and Sandy! Congratulations and thank you for choosing Big League Tours over all of these seasons. Off to Japan we go!

Each time we get to celebrate guests visiting their 30th stadium, it makes the tour extra special. This past summer we got to celebrate Rick and Marjie W. and their accomplishment! Here's what they said about their experiences with Big League Tours:

"We began our MLB Stadium Quest in 2015. As Seattle Mariners fans, our first stadium visits were on the West Coast. We knew where to go and it was relatively easy to get there. Since we both were still teachers at the time, we had to wait for summer and long weekends so we usually only managed to get to one or two stadiums per year. We were excited when we managed to get to 4 stadiums on a road trip! By 2019, we had managed a total of 15 stadiums - everything but Texas and Houston west of the Mississippi. We began thinking about what to do next and then COVID19 hit.

We were on hold with a total of 15 stadiums for a year. During that time, Rick found several baseball tour companies online. Since we had a lot of time to research, Rick began to check all of them out, spending hours looking at every aspect of each company. It became very clear that Big League Tours would be a fabulous choice for our adventures. He began communication
with BLT and we made plans for our first tour.

We signed up for the 2023 East Coast /Hall of Fame Tour. We loved the idea of having someone else guide us through New York, DC and Boston instead of navigating it ourselves. We arrived in DC a day early. Bronte had added on our hotel the night before so we did not have to worry about anything other than getting from the airport to the hotel. From the minute we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice! The hotels were fabulous - better than we would choose ourselves. Most of them were walking distance to the stadiums and it was easy to explore the cities during our free time. On this trip we traveled between cities via charter bus which gave us the opportunity to get to know the others on the trip. We chatted about baseball and families and made new friends. Our travel on this trip was led by Tia, who made sure we all got to every stop at the right time. She went above and beyond in every way and by the end of the week, she seemed to be part of our family! Before leaving to go home at the end of the trip, several of us had decided we wanted to do the Mideast Tour in 2024 while begging Tia to lead that trip too!

So, we signed up for the 2024 MidEast Tour! At this point, we had 9 stadiums
left and completing this trip would leave us with the 2 Texas teams and 2 Florida teams. Since we were now retired we started thinking about doing those 2 trips on our own. As we planned for those, we realized very quickly that getting everything to fall into place would not be so easy. We would have spent at least as much, if not more, but would not have had the top-notch hotels or amazing seats at the games that we had available with Big League Tours. So, we gave Glenn and Bronte a call, and they helped us tag onto a trip to Florida in April with Bronte and a trip to Texas in May with Nathan.

In July, we joined the Mideast Tour in Toronto for our last 5 stadiums. Excited to meet up with friends again, we traveled from Toronto to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Detroit. Tia was our leader once again–yay! We all picked up where we left off from earlier times and also met new people who joined us. Celebrating our 30th stadium in Detroit was a special day we won’t forget. We arrived early enough to explore the stadium and food options and get our last photos together with old and new friends and we all celebrated the milestone together.

We highly recommend Big League Tours to all of our friends who love baseball. Everything is so well organized and planned. We still keep in touch with the amazing people we have met. Everyone with BLT knows how to make baseball fans into baseball friends by bringing them together to enjoy America’s Pastime in a classy way. We already are booked for more tour fun for the upcoming 2025 season to revisit stadiums, but more importantly, hang with awesome friends we have made through BLT and the great game called BASEBALL!"

Congratulations, Rick and Marjie!! We are honored to have been a small part of your large accomplishment. Thank you for choosing Big League Tours.

From statues honoring legendary players to historical displays and unique fan experiences, here’s what you need to see when visiting American Family Field.

The Hank Aaron Statue – Honoring a Baseball Legend

Located outside the main entrance, the Hank Aaron Statue pays tribute to one of the greatest players in baseball history. Aaron, who played for the Milwaukee Braves and later the Brewers, left an incredible legacy both on and off the field. This statue is a must-see for fans who appreciate the game's history and want to pay their respects to a true legend. There are no special requirements to visit, as it is easily accessible outside the ballpark.

The Bob Uecker Statue – A Tribute to Milwaukee’s Voice

Also found outside the stadium, the Bob Uecker Statue celebrates the longtime Brewers broadcaster and former player known for his humor and deep love of the game. A fan-favorite stop, this statue is perfect for photos and a nod to one of baseball’s most beloved announcers. Visitors can find it near the home plate entrance without needing a game ticket.

The Famous Sausage Race – A Fun In-Game Tradition

A visit to American Family Field wouldn’t be complete without witnessing the famous Sausage Race. Taking place during the middle of the sixth inning, this beloved event features five costumed sausages—Bratwurst, Polish, Italian, Hot Dog, and Chorizo—racing around the field in a lighthearted competition. A fan favorite for both kids and adults, the Sausage Race adds a unique, entertaining element to any game day experience. Be sure to have your camera ready, as this tradition is one of the most iconic in all of Major League Baseball.

The Selig Experience – A Walk Through Brewers History

Inside the stadium, The Selig Experience is an interactive exhibit dedicated to former Brewers owner and MLB Commissioner Bud Selig. This display offers a deep dive into Milwaukee’s baseball history, featuring artifacts, multimedia presentations, and a 3D hologram of Selig himself. Located in the left-field corner on the Loge Level, access is free with a game ticket, making it a must-see for history buffs and longtime baseball fans.

The Wall of Honor – Recognizing Brewers Greats

Near the main entrance, the Wall of Honor features plaques dedicated to former Brewers players, coaches, and executives who made a significant impact on the franchise. Each plaque tells a story, giving visitors insight into the team’s storied past. No special ticket is needed to visit this area, making it an easy stop before heading into the game.

The Uecker Seats – The Best View for a Bargain

For a truly unique stadium experience, check out the Uecker Seats, located in the upper terrace behind home plate. Inspired by Bob Uecker’s famous self-deprecating humor, these seats offer a fun perspective at an unbeatable price. While they may not provide the closest view of the action, they are a great spot for die-hard fans looking to experience a quirky piece of American Family Field’s character. These seats are available for purchase, but fans can visit them before or after the game for a quick photo.

Bernie’s Dugout – A Classic Milwaukee Tradition

One of the most iconic elements of American Family Field is Bernie’s Dugout, home to the Brewers’ beloved mascot, Bernie Brewer. Located above left field, this platform is where Bernie celebrates home runs by sliding down a yellow slide. Beyond the stunning aesthetics, PNC Park offers unique historical displays, statues, and attractions that make it a memorable stop on any baseball vacation or Mideast baseball tour. Here’s what you can’t miss when visiting this iconic ballpark.

The Roberto Clemente Statue and Bridge

Location: Outside the Center Field Entrance near the Roberto Clemente Bridge

One of the most iconic features of PNC Park is the statue of Roberto Clemente, one of the greatest players in baseball history. The statue stands at the center field entrance, with the backdrop of the famous yellow Roberto Clemente Bridge. This tribute to the legendary Pirates outfielder and humanitarian is a must-see for any baseball fan. The bridge itself is closed to vehicular traffic on game days, allowing fans to walk across for an unforgettable arrival at the stadium.

Honus Wagner Statue

Location: Home Plate Entrance

A visit to PNC Park wouldn’t be complete without seeing the Honus Wagner statue. Wagner, a Hall of Famer and one of the greatest shortstops in MLB history, is immortalized in this statue outside the home plate entrance. The bronze sculpture has been a Pittsburgh baseball landmark for decades, originally standing outside Forbes Field before moving to Three Rivers Stadium and finally to PNC Park. It’s a perfect photo opportunity for fans on a baseball tour.

Clemente Wall in Right Field

Location: Right Field Wall Inside the Ballpark

Inside PNC Park, one of its most unique features is the 21-foot-high right field wall, a tribute to Roberto Clemente’s No. 21 jersey. This design element not only adds a challenge for hitters but also pays homage to one of the franchise’s most beloved players. Fans sitting in the right field sections get an up-close look at this meaningful architectural tribute.

Legacy Square

Location: Near the Left Field Entrance

Legacy Square is a must-see for history buffs and baseball purists. This area honors Pittsburgh’s deep ties to the Negro Leagues with statues and informative displays featuring legendary players such as Josh Gibson and Satchel Paige. This tribute ensures that the contributions of Black baseball pioneers remain a visible and celebrated part of the Pirates’ history.

Bill Mazeroski’s 1960 World Series Home Run Plaque

Location: Right Field Entrance

Baseball history was made in 1960 when Bill Mazeroski hit a walk-off home run to win the World Series for the Pirates. A commemorative plaque near the right field entrance marks this legendary moment. Fans visiting PNC Park can relive the excitement of one of the greatest plays in baseball history while standing on the very spot where it is honored.

Forbes Field Home Plate Display

Location: On the Riverwalk outside the stadium

For those interested in Pittsburgh’s baseball history, a visit to the Forbes Field Home Plate display is a must. Although not inside the ballpark, this marker on the Riverwalk honors the former home of the Pirates before Three Rivers Stadium. Fans can step onto the plate and imagine what it was like to watch a game at Forbes Field decades ago.

But John’s story doesn’t stop at the ballpark.

If you’re a fan of authors like Michael Connelly and series like The Lincoln Lawyer, you’ll feel right at home in Jake’s world.
- Epiphany’s Murder (2022): The series debut introduces Jake Powers and dives into a case that tests both his instincts and his conscience.
- Keeping Chastity Alive (2023): The second installment raises the stakes with a new investigation tangled in deception and secrets.
- Requiem for Tuesday (2025): Fresh off the press, this latest release continues Jake’s story with new challenges that will keep readers turning pages late into the night.

Each book blends legal insight, complex characters, and fast-paced storytelling, all anchored in the real-world details of a city John knows intimately.

⚾ From the Dugout to the Page

John’s dual passions - baseball and storytelling - make him a perfect match for the Big League Tours community. Whether he’s on the road with fellow baseball fans or writing his next thriller, John brings the same curiosity, warmth, and thoughtfulness to everything he does.

🔎 A Private Eye in Sacramento

John’s crime fiction series features Jake Powers, a private investigator navigating the gritty streets and shadowy corners of Sacramento, California—John’s hometown.

We’re honored to have John as a longtime guest and even prouder to celebrate his creative work. If you’re looking for your next great read between ballgames, check out his books, you just might find a new favorite series.
