Our Chicago/Milwaukee Tour is a great way to enjoy the Big League Tours luxury baseball tour experience over a long weekend.
We will start this tour on Friday with a visit to US Cellular Field for a special, behind the scenes tour with former White Sox slugger Ron Kittle. Then, you'll have lower level seats for the A's vs. White Sox at 7:10PM.
On Saturday, we will travel to Miller Park for the Phillies @ Brewers at 6:15PM. You will have time before the game to check out all the tailgaters and the great food available inside the ballpark.
Our last day in Chicago will take us to historic Wrigley Field for Pirates @ Cubs 1:20PM. We will get to Wrigley early so you can explore Wrigleyville and the pre-game action around the stadium. As always, you will sit close to the field in the hard-to-get, lower level seats.
We have selected one of the finest hotels for our guests. Our tour hotel is the historic Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago. You will love this beautiful, luxury hotel and its proximity to many of the attractions.
BOOK THIS TOUR BEFORE MAY 5 AND GET $125 OFF PER PERSON!!
We've made some changes to our Big Apple Tour 2 and New York Destination Tour 4 in August. It was necessary for us to move the start date of both tours to Aug. 20 based on the game times for the Yankees and Mets. Other game details, schedules, and pricing have also changed. If you are interested in these tours, please click on the links below to get all the new info.
We are thrilled to announce that 1986 World Series MVP Ray Knight will be joining us on our East Coast and Atlantic Beltway Tours as the Big League Tours Player Experience. Ray played in 13 MLB seasons including 3 with the NY Mets where he won the World Series. (Who could forget Ray's famous romp home when Bill Buckner made the error at first that allowed him to score in Game 6?) Ray was an NL All Star in 1980 and 1982, and served as the Reds manager over the 1996-97 seasons. This year is Ray’s sixth season as co-host of Nats Xtra on the Washington Nationals TV network. Ray will join us before the Nationals game on June 25. We can’t wait to meet him and hear about his playing days, as well as, his insights on the game today.
Limited space is available on the East Coast and Atlantic Beltway Tours. Please let us know right away if you are interested in purchasing one of these tours. Here are the links to the tour webpages:
We've had some fans ask us to give them an idea of the itineraries on our luxury baseball tours. Some want to know how much free time they will have, others are interested in the game times, travel times, etc. Since we are offering a special $200 off the West Coast Tour right now, I thought I would give a quick "thumbnail" version of our itinerary for the West Coast Tour.

We thought it would be a good idea to tell folks about the "Big League Tours Difference" on our website. So, we changed our home page completely by adding video clips that have Glenn Dunlap and I describing four of our Big League Tours exclusives. If you have been thinking about purchasing a tour, but aren't sure what makes a Big League Tours baseball vacation better than the others, then please check out our new home page. We aren't video pro's, but we think it's a great way for folks to learn about our business. Here's the link to the home page:
Our Holiday Promotion continues through the end of the year. You can get 5%, or an extra free room night when you book your Multi-City Tour by Dec. 31. Please call or email with any questions. Here's the link to our Multi-City Tour page.
Last week, Glenn Dunlap was featured on the Inside Indiana Business television program. The program plays all over the state highlighting the businesses that make Indiana their home. Glenn and host, Gerry Dick, discuss our luxury baseball tours as well as our company history. Thanks to everyone at Inside Indiana Business for putting it together. Gerry and his staff have been extremely supportive of Big League Tours since the beginning. Just click the video link to see the interview after a short promo for Inside Indiana Business.

Glenn and I spent Monday making informational videos for the website. We thought it would be a good idea to discuss all the aspects of our baseball tours in a video format. That way, prospective customers can get a better sense of our baseball vacation packages and who we are. I think they turned out pretty good. It's amazing what you can do with an Ipad and IMovie. We tried to go through the basic itinerary of each tour, and discuss some of the Big League Tours differences. We also took some time to talk about some of our favorite ballparks, like Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, AT&T Ballpark, and PNC Park. We're no Redford and Newman, but I think the informal videos will help fans make a decision as to which baseball tour they want to join.
The last tour video we shot was for the Big Apple Tour 2. It was late in the day, and we got a little loose with it. So, no offense to our Mets and Yankees fans, but we posted it anyway. I put it here too, so go ahead and take a look. It's all in fun. Go to the website too, to check out the other videos. We would appreciate any feedback you might have.
They're ready! We are excited to reveal our 2013 Season Tour Packages to our fans. We have all your favorites like the Hall of Fame Tours, West Coast Tours, and the Midwest Tours; but we've also added Southwest, Southeast and Windy City tours to our schedule. Plus, NEW for this year are our DestinationTours and Getaway Day Tours for guests who want a shorter Big League Tours adventure. Click below to go directly to the Big League Tours website:
EARLY BOOKING PROMOTION- Book your 2013 Tour before Nov.21, 2012 and receive 5% off your total package price. Just use the coupon code "Early Bird" when booking your tour.
The World Series is set to start next Wednesday. And while it's a great time to watch the best in baseball play for the title, it's also bittersweet as it also signals the end of the baseball season and baseball tours. I recently ran across this quote from former Commissioner of Baseball, Bart Giamatti, that I believe sums it up very well.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blooms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fallalone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops."
So for now, we'll soak in the last that baseball has to offer for 2012 and we'll look forward to where our 2013 baseball trips will take us!
