Tour Feature: East Coast Tours 2023

Posted by Glenn Dunlap on Mon, Jan 02, 2023 @ 04:07 PM

Season after season, our stadium-packed East Coast Tours are always our most popular! Fans are immersed in America’s favorite pastime starting at Nationals Park in Washington DC. An extra day allows historical site seeing in our stunning nation’s capital.

Next, experience the retro feel of Baltimore’s Camden Yards. The first of the exclusively single-use baseball stadiums, its exceptional design has been a blueprint for stadiums across the nation and is clearly a favorite with our fans.

Next stop…find Philly! Our hotel is near Reading Terminal Market, where more than 80 diverse merchants offer food, shopping and something for everyone. Our guests can walk to the actual Liberty Bell or take selfies with the 19-foot Liberty Bell replica at bustling Citizens Ball Park!

yankee_stadiumThere’s nothing quite like baseball in New York. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, the Yankees do it big, and you feel it at the home of the winningest franchise in history. Comfortable seating, high-end eating and a free one-of-a-kind in-park museum make Yankees Stadium a remarkable experience.

Prefer the Mets? Citi Field echoes the spirit of the great Jackie Robinson and boasts an intimate but open concourse where fans can mingle with a “Taste of the City” and enjoy the home of the “homerun apple”.

Next we’ll take a beautiful drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame in scenic Cooperstown. Get lost in the nostalgia of baseball’s rich history and be inspired by the legends and who made it. Enthusiasts agree that this hidden treasure is an unforgettable, moving experience for fans of all ages.

Finally… it’s Fenway. The vintage charm of MLB’s oldest stadium makes this an essential game experience for every baseball fan. (A Fenway Frank and a walk down Jersey Street makes us tear up every time!) Our fans love the stadium tour, which includes a wealth of Red Sox history and watching batting practice from the historic Green Monster.

Choose one of our Full East Coast Tours or select a “mini” version to fit your schedule and bucket list.

MLB releases the 2015 baseball schedule

Posted by Doug Lawson on Tue, Sep 09, 2014 @ 11:36 AM

Big League Tours at Wrigley Field

Yesterday, Major League Baseball released the team schedules for 2015. And now, our work begins creating the luxury baseball tour packages for the coming season.

As you can imagine, it takes some time to go through all 30 teams to design the most appealing tours for our guests. Our preliminary plans include full East & West Coast Tours plus, Midwest, Mideast, and Heartland Tours. In those tours, we will create shorter, "mini" tours like Atlantic Beltway and Southern California for folks that want a quick get away visiting multiple ballparks. We'll also go through the schedule to find the best destination tours for New York, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Keep an eye out for our 2015 Tour Announcement email. We will be sending it very soon. It will include links to all the 2015 tours, plus early bird discounts for guests that purchase their tours before the end of the year.

We are excited about the upcoming season and hope you will join us on the road in 2015. Please call or email with any questions. (317) 806-2272

A Trip to The Hall of Fame Museum

Posted by Doug Lawson on Wed, Sep 04, 2013 @ 01:26 PM

A few years ago, we named our tours that include Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, Citi FieldHall of Fame and Cooperstown, the Big League Tours Hall of Fame Tour. It seemed appropriate as many of our guests purchased these tours to mark 3 iconic venues off of their baseball bucket list. So, in August, the morning after our group had a great time in Boston seeing a Red Sox/Yankees game, we loaded the motorcoach and headed to the small village in up-state New York.

If you have never been to that part of New York, I would highly recommend it. The area is full of vacation spots, restaurants, shops, and beautiful scenery. Cooperstown is no exception as it sits on the banks of picturesque Otsego Lake and is home to many of sites mentioned as well as The Baseball Hall of Fame. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the town just as much as I did the Hall of Fame and Museum.

The Musuem is where all of the baseball memoribilia is displayed and the history of the game recounted. From the very beginnings of the organized game to the stars of today, the museum covers it all. A true baseball fan who enjoys reading all the plaques, newspaper articles, etc. on display, could easily spend a couple of days in the Museum. As a lifelong Reds fan, I particularly liked all the displays that featured the first pro team, the Big Red Machine, Baseball's Hit King- Pete Rose, and the Black Sox/Reds World Series. I spent a few hours in the Museum knowing that I will be back next season hosting our luxury baseball tours.

Bench Morgan

The actual Hall of Fame is next to the Museum. Mostly, it houses the Hall of Fame plaques for each induction class. Same as the Museum, one could spend a great deal of time perusing the info of the 300 or so people who have been inducted. As in the Museum, I was drawn to the Reds inductees. Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan have plaques side by side. I will definitely be spending more time in the Hall on the next trip.

There is so much to explore in Cooperstown. Glenn and I even had a chance to take a few cuts in the batting cages that are located outside of Doubleday Field. The pitching machines will throw curveballs, knucklers, sliders and fastballs. We decided that on the next tour, we will make sure to take our guests there. Hopefully, they will fare better against the machines than Glenn and I did.

We are already beginning our plans for next season. In a few weeks, MLB will announce the 2014 schedule, and shortly after that, we will announce our baseball package tours including our Hall of Fame Tours. Keep an eye on the website for all the info.

Ray Knight to join our Baseball Tours of EC and Beltway

Posted by Doug Lawson on Mon, Apr 15, 2013 @ 03:57 PM

Ray Knight 1986 WS MVPWe are thrilled to announce that 1986 World Series MVP Ray Knight will be joining us on our East Coast and Atlantic Beltway Tours as the Big League Tours Player Experience.  Ray played in 13 MLB seasons including 3 with the NY Mets where he won the World Series.  (Who could forget Ray's famous romp home when Bill Buckner made the error at first that allowed him to score in Game 6?)   Ray was an NL All Star in 1980 and 1982, and served as the Reds manager over the 1996-97 seasons.  This year is Ray’s sixth season as co-host of Nats Xtra on the Washington Nationals TV network.  Ray will join us before the Nationals game on June 25.  We can’t wait to meet him and hear about his playing days, as well as, his insights on the game today.

Limited space is available on the East Coast and Atlantic Beltway Tours.  Please let us know right away if you are interested in purchasing one of these tours.  Here are the links to the tour webpages:
